Must have faith

Cliche. I think not.

I recently graduated from American Career College and learned more than a trade. One thing the director of education told us during orientation was, when you begin to make positive changes in your life, other things in your life begin to fall apart. I never agreed with him more than now. Yes, it was difficult waking up at the butt crack of dawn every morning to get to school. Four hours a day, five days a week, and working part time, means pure dedication. Not only being dedicated to getting to school, was doing well in school; which I did. Now, graduated from school, I face many more challenges.

I realize now more than ever that the only thing that can get you through your toughest challenges, is faith. Not only having faith in yourself, but the faith that things will work out if you work hard enough. Road blocks will arise when you least expect it, but you just have to push through.

Lately, I have been experiencing more trouble than triumph. I know that from all the work I have done is from the help of others, but from the will of my goals. When you feel like things are going nowhere, they are only at a stand still to test your strength. You must strive and have faith, because that will move you forward. You must dig deeper than ever to accomplish whatever your heart is set on. You must not give up due to others keeping you down. If your heart is in it, you never budge.

Tears will be shed and battles will be fought, but with faith, you will never lose. Those battles you fight never put you back, but are only steps forward, that are a bit harder to climb. When you feel like no one is there to help, and you're out on a plank all by yourself, you might be. However, while you're out there feeling the harsh winds and waves trying to knock you down, remember to dig deep and grab that bit of faith that started your journey in the first place.

Faith is something believed with strong conviction. What drives you? What is your journey? Whatever it is, you must have faith.

Must have Music Therapy

Music Therapy is a growing field and has shown huge potential. From relieving stress and calming anxiety to easing the pain of depression and personality disorders, Music Therapy is becoming popular.

There have been numerous studies on how music affects people while under stress, while sleeping, when happy, when sad, etc. Music can cure many moods, but can it help cure other things? Living organisms need stimulation. Music stimulates certain parts of the brain and can stimulate certain feelings or parts of your body.

Find music that makes you feel a certain way. Find a song that moves you: one that makes you cry, one that makes you smile, maybe even one that you can share a feeling with another person. Use these songs as tools to help you thrive. Music is an art and is a force that is difficult to explain. If you are stressed, find that type of music or particular song that puts you at ease. When you are heartbroken, find that song that makes you feel loved.

Sometimes we like to fuel the fire. If we just got dumped, we like to listen to songs about heartache. Or if we just got fired, we like to listen to songs about loss. Why do we do this to ourselves? The only way to grow is find a way to succeed. Music is such a huge part of life. Noise is everywhere. Let it inspire you; let it reach you in a way nothing else can. When we relieve our bodies of stress and worry, we enable our mind to reach places we don't allow ourselves normally to go. Strive for more. Treat your mind to music.

Must have peace of mind

Everyone knows that times are hard. There are hardly any jobs, and hardly any space in our budgets to spend extra money. The unemployment rate is still high and gas prices are beginning to rise.

With all of this money tension, everyone should become aware of safety. Barely anyone carries cash anymore, but people are watching you to see when you are. It is a scary thought of being robbed, but with how times are right now, it is completely possible. Everyone should take the necessary precautions to protect what is rightfully theirs. We all work hard for our money and we all have bills to pay. Don't become a victim of robbery. Carry some kind of defense like pepper spray or a small air horn. It is better to be safe than sorry.

God forbid you are in the situation where you get approached by a desperate person and they want to rob you; you will have a method to protect yourself. Something such as pepper spray can provide you with a way to escape. You will disorient the person and give you a minute or two to get away. However, if your escape plan fails you, never fight with your attacker; just give up the goods. It isn't worth losing your life over a couple bucks. Money isn't everything, and you can always call your bank to cancel credit cards. We all could use peace of mind and feel a bit safer when we are alone. So have a plan and carry a defense item. Be safe!

Must have energy

Don't you hate when TV ads fool you into buying something that sounds good, but isn't really that good. Well I found something worth while that is great for busy, on-the-go, health-minded individuals.

I recently gave up drinking energy drinks because I need energy without all the inconvenient side effects. Energy drinks make you jittery, crash, and need more energy drinks. I finally got tired of abusing my body. Caffeine withdrawals are the worst feeling; headaches, insomnia, irritability. I started to drink soda to lower the effects of not drinking caffeine in such large quantities, but I felt slow and horrible. My fiance went grocery shopping and brought home the best solution ever.

Crystal light now makes packets to add to water with caffeine and b vitamins. Crystal light is not only a healthy alternative to juices and sodas, but now a healthier alternative to getting the energy you need. Coffee, energy drinks, and energy supplements can all have negative effects. So why not lower the health risks and choose the healthier alternative? Caffeine dehydrates your body, and we often don't drink enough water. Crystal light provides plenty of flavors, and you add the flavor to a bottle of water.

Help your body out and drink more water. To make it more enjoyable add Crystal light. To get more energy, add Crystal light with caffeine and b vitamins!
